Who is the Portal of The National Archive of Monuments for?
The Portal of The National Archive of Monuments concerns all users who are interested to be updated on the issues of managing the digital cultural resources of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as well as the Services of the Ministry participating in digitisation projects for the enrichment of the National Archive of Monuments.
Are there user groups with distinct permissions on accessing the content of the Portal?
The users of the Portal are ranked according the following user groups:
Anonymous users having access to the general information services of the Portal.
Units of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Tourism
These are the Units participating to the Digitisation of the Collections of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Tourism coordinated by the National Archive of Monuments. The members of this group have full access to the Internet and the Extranet part of the Portal via the Ministry's VPN.
How does an authorised user register?
Users who are authorised to obtain access to the extranet should follow the registration process so they acquire a user id and a password in order to log in each time they visit the Portal. During the electronic registration process the authorised user should provide evidence that identify him/her and proove his/her involvement to the project. The process is completed when a Portal Administrator accepts the registration and sets privilege of access to the user. In such a case, the system automatically submits a new password to the user.
