‘Recording the past, designing the future’- Two-day conference presenting the work of the Directorate for the Management of the National Archive of Monuments

On 9 and 10 November 2023, at the National Gallery – Alexandros Soutsos Museum, the Directorate for the Management of the National Archive of Monuments is comprehensively presenting the National Archive of Monuments for the first time. On the first day the three Management Information Systems for Immovable Monuments (Archaeological Cadastre), Mobile Monuments (Digital Collections of Mobile Monuments) and the Historical Archive of Antiquities and Restorations will be presented, together with the activities carried out by the Directorate at the National Archaeological Museum, in Epirus and elsewhere to enrich their content.
In the same context, the digital exhibitions created specifically for the Archaeological Cadastre will be presented, including the Jewish monuments of Greece and the Intangible Heritage on the Map, as well as the Stories from the Portal on the Directorate’s website.
The second day is dedicated to the work of recording and documenting objects at the former royal estate of Tatoi, implemented in the framework of the ‘Digitisation and publication of selected collections of the National Archaeological Museum and the former royal estate of Tatoi’ Operation, funded by the PADF 2014-2021
