It is with deep sadness that we, the colleagues of DCNAM, bid farewell to our beloved colleague Konstantina Gavrilou, who left us so unexpectedly and prematurely.<\/p>\n

Dina, as almost all of us called her, was a lovable, kind-hearted and affable person. But she was also, without exaggeration, a model colleague and a dedicated civil servant. During her many years of service at the Historical Archive of Antiquities, she performed her duties conscientiously and diligently, contributing decisively to the preservation of a wealth of archival documents. <\/p>\n

Dina showed a genuine interest in the Historical Archive and cared about everything that happened there. In every difficult situation, she was present and offered her services willingly and with a heightened sense of duty, putting aside the health problems that sometimes plagued her. <\/p>\n

But even before he was transferred to the DCNAM, while still serving in the Directorate for the Conservation of Ancient and Modern Monuments, we helped save the archives of the Archaeological Service when the basement of the building on 11 Ag. Asomaton Str. flooded due to damage caused by the construction of the Athens Metro. <\/p>\n

Dina was a sensitive person who had a deep and sincere love for stray animals, especially cats, who would run to greet her as soon as they spotted her tall figure in Psaromiligkou.<\/p>\n

The DCNAM lost a valuable member of staff and we lost a worthy colleague and friend whom we will never forget.<\/p>\n

Our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones.<\/p>\n

The funeral service for our beloved Dina will be held at the Church of St. Taxiarchon (old) on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. (https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/z3DZiGsYPQgtfw7x7?g_st=ic).<\/a><\/span> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n
